This blog post comes from a number of directions. My mom made the comment to me that it's nice when people post more than just a travelogue of their day or week. I agree, a little depth to a blog is not a bad thing as long as it's sincere. Then Kristy had a brilliant "Sunday Post" with a great poem about the Savior. I think it's a good idea for us to share more than just what keeps us busy.

Last week in Young Women's, Sister Young brought a great plaque with a quote about following Christ. When I was preparing my visiting teaching message for this week I was reminded of the quote. I couldn't remember it exactly and my visiting teaching ladies wanted a copy of it. So tonight I looked it up and here is the real thing.

I think it is a great quote to be reminded of every day. How much would our daily actions change if we implemented this quote into our everyday lives? I want to get it in vinyl for my wall.

The visiting teaching message in general really stuck a cord with me this month. Sister Beck had such a great list of things we should be working on. They pretty much encompass all of my New Years Resolutions. I mentioned that I wanted to print them up and hang them next to my "to do list" so that they might gradually work their way higher in my priorities. Then my wonderful VT partner, Jennifer, stopped me at church and gave me a beautiful photo finish printout of Sister Becks quote. So here it is along with a link if you want to print it yourself.

Many of you know that I don't love to discuss what we're naming our baby. I think there should be some sort of surprise left, but I'm at a complete loss with this one. We have about a month left and no decision on a name. Please send me your ideas. To give you a sense of what we like let me share our ideas.

Now Steve says he's being open minded, just waiting to hear a name he likes better. I've been through a name book of 65,000 names, multiple websites, etc. I need serious help. I don't want a name that is over used, but it doesn't have to be one you've never heard of before either. Please post your ideas!

I'm so sad that the season in about over. It went by way too fast for me. We had a great Christmas this year. On Christmas morning we waited and waited for the boys to wake up, finally we just woke them around 8:00. They were so excited. I feel like for me Christmas gets better and better every year. Each year the kids are more excited and understand more about both Santa and the true meaning of Christmas.

We opened stockings down by the fire first, then went back upstairs to attack the presents under the tree. Steve and I both thought this was our year to spoil the other one. I'm always whining about my life dream of playing the violin. Well, I guess he got sick of the whining and decided it's time for me to do something about it. Surprise!!! I was also tired of his whining about needing a "varmit gun". So I got him a .22-250.

After all the presents were openned we braved the snow storm and headed out to the farm. Everyone was waiting on us for Christmas breakfast and we finally showed up around noon. We ate and then openned presents again. After that we spent the day playing the Wii. Bronsen worked hard this weekend at becoming Wii's youngest addict. He played it for 3 days straight.

On Friday Steve, his dad and brother Mark all went snowmobiling over in Colorado. It was a great weekend with lots of fun. Below are a few pictures of the festivities.
