We had such a fun Easter this year. The best I can remember! We went and parked the camp trailer the weekend before so that we would be all set and get a good spot. Steve took Friday off work, so we headed up Thursday night. It's always fun to camp and do things with just "our little family". We enjoyed marshmellows that night and some hiking, baseball and relaxing the next morning.
Then Friday my family started showing up. Once everyone that could make it got there we headed up Arch Canyon on 4 wheelers. My favorite part was the hike up to the arch itself. Then on Saturday the Easter Bunny came, more family showed up for lunch, we raced eggs and the annual egg fight ensued, the boys shot guns, rode four wheelers, and played games. Then we packed it up and headed home in need of some serious showers.

Wrestling this year was a lot of fun. We did the Monticello, Blanding, and Durango tournaments. Both boys improved a lot and had tons of fun. I think Steve had more fun than both of them combined though. My boys are lucky to have such a great coach.

Parker came home from school yesterday all excited. Our conversation went something like this:

Parker: Mom, at school we made a bird feeder. We covered a pinecone with butter and put bird seed on it.

Me: Oh, that's pretty cool.

Parker: Ya, me and Bronsen are going to hang it up, and when the birds come, we'll shoot them.

Me: Why would you want to shoot them?

Parker: Why not?

Me: Because Heavenly Father made them and we should only shoot thing that are pests, or that we are going to eat.

Parker: (pause) OK I'll eat it.

And he runs off to get his nerf gun. Later he came in and said, "I wish I had some camo"

I so have boys!! They are definitely not city boys!

We celebrated Bronsen's birthday last month. After going to the airshow in Phoenix he was excited to have an airplane/fighter jet themed party. We invited a bunch of rowdy boys over, had missile target practice, made glider planes, and best of all we had a pilot's training course (obstacle course). The kids all loved it. I was too busy to get many pictures, except for cutting the cake. I'm glad Bronsen had such a great birthday and is a part of our lives.

Over Spring Break we got a chance to go down to Phoenix to stay with Steve's grandma. It is always nice to go down where it's warm. We did a lot of fun things, maybe too many. It wasn't our best family trip, but it was still fun.

Sienna was very excited about this ice cream cone, and even more excited about all the attention she was getting.

On Saturday we went to Luke Air Force Base to watch an airshow and the Air Force Thunderbirds. Bronsen loved getting all the autographs of any soldiers.

We had some attitudes on this trip. Unfortunately, I contributed to that. Yes, sometimes moms just want their own way too. Imagine that! We tried hard to get a good picture, but at this point the kids were all mad about something, so we decided to take a mad picture. Hey, it's a memory right?


We did get in a round of golf. Fred even found us a course that would allow the kids to go with us, and didn't cost a fortune. I had a great time trying out my new clubs. Hopefully we'll get in a little more golf this summer.



In the end Chucky Cheese's won as the best thing we did on the trip, although the play area at Burger King in Kayenta came in a close second. It's just hard to beat! We enjoyed all the fresh fruit off of grandma's tree, enjoyed seeing her and Steve's parents. We had a good time and hopefully made a few good memories.

Last week I was cutting all the boys' hair and Sienna decided she needed a haircut too. So I decided why not, maybe it will help. Her hair is so fine and has so much static all the time. We trimmed a couple of inches off the back and make everything a little more even. She loved it and despite mom's inexperience with girly cuts, we still think she's adorable.





Kade didn't get a haircut, but we did spike his hair for him.

We celebrated Sienna's birthday a day late this year so that we could celebrate along with Kade's blessing and have one big party.

Our fun little girl is already two (and you can tell). Sienna has so much life in her little soul. She's a handful to keep up with, but we love her so much. She loves being the center of attention and making people laugh. She's growing up to be a strong willed, strong minded girl who loves to keep up with her brothers and keep her daddy's heart on her shoestrings.
