For those of you who don't know, the Snyder name will be forever linked to wrestling. Basketball is the "b word" when you're around my inlaws. So needless to say we decided the boys should start organized wrestling this year. Our first intent was just to have Bronsen wrestle, but Parker really wanted to wrestle as well, so we let him. They've been practicing for a couple of weeks now and on Saturday was their first tournament. The night before there was a lot of "practice" going on.

During Parker's second match of the day he got choked and started crying. But he was up by 10 points, and we didn't want him to stop. After about 4 times of stopping the match to cry and Steve trying to talk him into getting back out there, it was finally over and he won! It is so hard to be a wrestling mom in moments like that! Anyway, for the next match I told Parker that if he wanted to win a Gold medal (which he'd been talking about all week) he just needed to go out and pin the next guy and if someone hurts you then you put your mad face on and pin him.

This is Bronsen wrestling. The picture is really bad, but you can still see the smile that stayed on his face the whole time. He loved it, win or lose.

In the end Parker came in first and got his Gold medal. Bronsen's bracket had a three way tie for first so they all got silver medals, but Steve informed me that by the points Bronsen won. In this picture is also their cousin Landon with his Bronze medal. Good job boys!

Sienna turned one this week. I really can't believe she is that old. I love this age though. She's such a smart little girl. She will copy cat whatever you are doing. Sienna has been a ham from day one. She loves to get peoples attention. We decided to just do a little family party this time. So we openned up our presents. Steve and I did good with this little turtle. She loved it!!

So ya, I guess it's been a while since I've blogged. In fact I'm so far behind that I had almost given up on blogging completely. But since Steve is out of town and I have nothing better to do (besides housework) here goes. . .

Let's see to recap the past few months. We are now moved into our new house and trying to restore some sort of balance to everyday life. Hopefully someday the house will really be "done" and I can officially move on to thinking about something else. In early October we went to Missouri for a wedding and visited the church history sites around Missouri and Illinios. It was the best trip. I can't believe how much my boys learned and remember, it's amazing! Then in November Steve and I took a trip with some friends to Cancun for a week. It was a much needed break that we fully enjoyed. Then came moving, Christmas and Parker's birthday. Here's a few pictures of all the happenings, in a very random order.

Everywhere we go Steve always has to check out what crops they're growing. This one was no different. I think these were black eyed peas. I guess you can't ever quit being the son of a farmer, and he wouldn't want to.

So there you have it in a nutshell. Maybe now that I don't have so much catching up to do, I won't be so bad at keeping up.

So I've decided that I need to get a hold of some sort of saucer or walker for Sienna to play in while I'm working over on the house. She needs something with toys around it. The swing is just too boring. I can't stand to spend almost $100 on something I'll probably only use for another month or two so if anyone has one that they want to lend me or let me buy I'd love it.

Yes, the stork is a frequent flyer around here. Much to Steve and my surprise we discovered a month or so ago that we are pregnant AGAIN! We're not sure about a due date, but I'm guessing around the end of March, or first of April. To save you all the calculating trouble, that will make Sienna and this baby approximately 13 1/2 months apart and 4 kids under the age of six. (Bronsen turns 6 the first part of April.) Wow, our life is never dull.

We weren't going to spread the news yet, but I figured I was safe telling Nate because he's on a mission. No, he told Sagan with no word about it being a secret, so she of course told her family, and from there. . . let's just say it's a small town. So anyway, I decided I'd better officially get the word out and we all know that is via blogging.

Steve and I are currently very overwhelmed with having one more thing on our plate, but are starting to get very excited about having another one. We'll take our blessings as they come. It will be a lot of fun for Sienna to have a sibling so close in age. Steve keeps telling me this one must have just been meant to come to us right now.
